Nate Midolo represents municipal, commercial, and insurance entities. He has experience guiding clients through all phases of the litigation process, including pretrial discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal. Nate practices in both state and federal courts and has handled a wide variety of claims including land use disputes, civil rights claims, breach of contract allegations, and insurance coverage issues. He also provides advisory services to both municipal and business clients. Notably, Nate focuses a significant portion of his practice on public entity labor relation matters, including providing guidance through all steps of the labor negotiation, grievance, and administrative process.
Nate attended the University of Kansas and graduated in 2008 with a B.G.S. in political science and a minor in business management. He attended law school at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated in 2011. While attending law school, Nate worked at the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust. He was also a staff member of the Law Review and semi-finalist in the Rosalie E. Wahl Moot Court Competition.
After law school, Nate worked as an assistant county attorney in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota where he prosecuted a variety of misdemeanor and felony level criminal cases. He also represented Kandiyohi County on a significant number of civil matters. Prior to joining Upton & Hatfield, LLP, Nate developed a practice as a civil litigator at a firm in Minneapolis where he represented municipal and business clients on a variety of issues. During his time in Minnesota, Nate served as vice chair of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, Government Liability Committee.
In addition to New Hampshire, Nathan is admitted to practice in Minnesota, the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
